What to Expect

Visiting a church for the first time can sometimes be a bit scary.  Let us put your mind at ease and let you know what to expect.

When you arrive at the Owensville Middle School, you can park and enter at the front entrance.  Proceed straight down the hall and you will find a welcome table with some information about our church and a friendly face to say “good morning.”  You will notice that there is no dress code at Seasons of Faith.  Come as you like, jeans are the norm but some folks dress up a bit.  We don’t want to make attire an issue.

You can pick up a cup of coffee and a danish as you make your way to the cafeteria where we gather for worship celebration.  There are no long rows of chairs, instead we sit around tables.  Many people arrive at 9:00 am for coffee and to get to know one another better.  We begin the program at 9:30 am with some singing.

After singing some songs someone will lead a prayer and share some important news for our church family.  Our pastor teaches us each week, applying the principles and lessons of the Bible to our lives.  There is no guilt trip in his teaching, it is our goal that you will find encouragement and strength for your life wherever you are on your spiritual journey.  The worship celebration usually lasts about an hour.  Sometimes it goes a little longer, but seldom more than 1 hour and 15 minutes.

Financial support for our ministry is an important part of our involvement,  but we do not make a big deal about giving in our gatherings.  When you visit us, we are not looking for your money, we are glad you are joining us.  For those of us who do contribute financially, we place our donations in a box located on the table near the entrance/exit.
